Excellent Stay

cute staff nice room log fires
The staff was very cute (special thanks to Zoe). The room design was nice. The log fires created a cozy atmosphere. The food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, whether I dined in the bar or restaurant.
The pillows in the room were on the soft side for my personal preference. A firmer pillow option would have been appreciated.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast service had a good selection. Dinner in the restaurant was perfectly presented. The waiting staff was great. They seemed eager to ensure a satisfactory meal experience.
Rooms
9/10
The bedroom was super clean and cozy. The bathroom was modern. The room was spacious. It included quality products for personal care, a nice touch (especially the Molton Brown products).
Facilities
9/10
Lounge areas felt cozy and comfortable. Log burners provided a relaxing atmosphere. The courtyard gave a safe location for bicycles. The gardens looked lovely (even in late autumn).

An ok stay with SOME issues

vile smell lack of honesty
The first room was a bit of a DISASTER. I was told there had been a spillage. It smelled terrible because someone had been sick in there. They took money off, but I didn't LIKE the lack of honesty. The second night was much better and the room was cosy.

slow service bland dinner
the location was quite convenient. it made getting around the area relatively easy.
I found the service rather slow and inattentive. It took ages to get anyone's attention. the food quality was also a major letdown. My dinner was bland. the value did not match the price.
